John Bucksath joined KCAS Bioanalytical and Biomarker Services in May 2016 where he serves as Chief Executive Officer and Board Member. He is responsible for the overall strategic direction and future success of the organization.
John serves on the BioKansas and Missouri Biotechnology Association’s(MOBIO) Board of Directors as Treasurer and is a member of the University of Missouri’s Research and Development Advisory Board. John has also served as an observing Board member for two early-mid stage biotechnology companies. John is also a member of the Mizzou Venture Mentoring Program, focused on mentoring life-science startup companies. John’s undergraduate education in Biology and Chemistry was obtained from Central Methodist University and a Masters of Business Administration from the Olin Business School - Washington University in St. Louis. Prior to joining KCAS. Mr. Bucksath worked at ABC Laboratories (now Eurofins) from 1989 – 2016 in varying roles, starting as an analytical chemist and moving into positions of increasing management and leadership with responsibility for both technical operations and corporate development, eventually taking over as CEO. Mr. Bucksath was responsible for the successful integration of Morse Laboratories after acquisition and the eventual sell of ABC Laboratories to the Evans Analytical Group (EAG) in 2015.
