DJ Rezac is the Director of Business Development and a Clinical Research Associate at the Veterinary & Biomedical Research Center, Inc (VBRC) in Manhattan, KS. A fifth generation rural Kansan, he joined VBRC in 2013 after completing his formal education which included a Bachelor's in Animal Science & Industry, a Master's in Ruminant Physiology / Nutrition, and a PhD in Epidemiology from the Kansas State University College of Veterinary Medicine where he also holds appointment as an Adjunct Faculty member in the Department of Diagnostic Medicine & Pathobiology. His business development efforts include providing strategic direction, planning, and management to enhance existing business channels and developing novel internal and external business relationships and opportunities. DJ also provides strategic research & development and operational consultation for an industry clientele base. In his clinical research role as a Primary Investigator, he plans, develops, and executes research and development protocols for FDA and USDA approval of pharmaceuticals and vaccines for the global animal health and biomedical industries with a focus on infectious diseases, parasitology and pain management. DJ also manages a professional service group which provides animal health and management consultation services to commercial animal agriculture operations throughout the Midwest. Current community and industry leadership include the American Association of Laboratory Animal Science, BioKansas Board of Directors, and the Manhattan Area Chamber of Commerce.
