About the Leadership Program

Strong leadership skills are essential for driving more projects to success, fostering innovation and collaboration, and motivating others to deliver on organizational objectives. Organizations that invest in leadership training can improve morale and reduce turnover through better relationships and decision-making, drive organizational results through better-equipped supervisors and managers, and increase employee motivation, engagement and productivity through practical leadership practices.

Join leaders from other life science companies in a BioKansas/Wolf Prairie program designed to help industry professionals lead and manage effectively.  Because each leadership course includes managers and supervisors from regional life science companies, participants build leadership networks, engage in dynamic discussion, and learn industry best practices. The program is structured as 11 monthly two hour workshops, which minimizes time away from the workplace while also providing space to apply and practice concepts learned. This leadership program is unique because training doesn’t end in the classroom, it’s an entryway into leadership roles within the bioscience community. The benefits of being a Leader in Bioscience extends beyond the program and lead to meaningful opportunities within our organization and the broader community.

BioKansas benefits for participants:

  • Recognition at BioKansas events
  • Opportunities to join committees and working groups
  • Inclusion of a personal profile on the Leaders in Bioscience webpage
  • Exclusive invitation to monthly leadership roundtable events, which includes the opportunity to hear from distinguished leaders in the bioscience community
  • Opportunities to build mentorship networks within the local bioscience industry

“The RLL program is not your typical leadership program. Completing a short module every month has enabled me to deploy my learning immediately in my role as a leader.  I don’t feel that I’m taking a class, but rather gaining valuable mentorship though this program.”

-Karthik Ramachandran, Co-Founder and VP of Likarda, Chair of the BioKansas Board
