Join BioKansas and K-State Olathe for a Process Mapping Workshop on Thursday, July 25th!

Overview:

This workshop will be hands-on and invite participants to use the practices being taught in-class to get an edge on implementation. To make the training more impactful, participants are encouraged to bring an actual process they would like to improve upon during the class.

By the end of the course, participants will be able to:

  • Follow a step-by-step method to create useful process maps of your work
  • Know when to use process design to make improvements
  • Apply flowcharting techniques at different levels: System, sub-system, process and task
  • Analyze process maps and charts for streamlining and improvement opportunities
  • Understand how process mapping is used to clarify roles and responsibilities
  • Gain confidence understanding these terms and concepts: business process management and tools (software, swim lane process mapping etc.), 5 Why root cause analysis tool, Fishbone root cause analysis tool, metrics planning, RACI, and SIPOC

You will benefit from process management if you:

  • Want to know how to map and improve a business process
  • Need a consistent method to document processes
  • Need to reduce costs and improve margins
  • Want things to be done right the first time and avoid constantly fighting fires
